When an organization is data-driven, that means it is taking the critical information it receives, from all sources, and being proactive with it, rather than reactive. Data-Driven Organizations are implementing comprehensive information utilization strategies to help drive stronger outcomes, payment reform, quality improvement, and disparity reduction.

There’s a difference between being a data-collecting organization and a data-driven organization, and it’s one that many providers and health care systems have struggled with. It can be difficult to shift from leaving data collected but untouched an EHR to actively using that information to drive clinical quality.

SNI supports members becoming data driven systems through peer networks and convenings, best practice sharing among members, and capacity-building workshops, working with key partners and trusted subject matter experts.

Our focus areas include promoting data ownership and culture, performance measurement, and the move to improved analytics.
